Basic introduction to the throttle body

The function of the throttle body is to control the air entering the engine. It is a controllable body. After the air enters the intake pipe, it will be mixed with gasoline and become a combustible mixture, thereby completing the combustion and doing work. Throttle is one of the most important parts of today's EFI vehicle engine system. Its upper part is connected to the air filter of the air filter, and the lower part is connected to the engine block, which is equivalent to the throat of a car engine. The degree of dirt on the throttle has a lot to do with whether the car accelerates flexibly. Clean throttle can reduce fuel consumption and can make the engine flexible and powerful. Throttle bodies mainly include traditional pull-wire and electronic throttles:

(1) The traditional engine throttle is operated by a cable (mild steel wire) or a lever, one end is connected to the accelerator pedal, and the other end is connected to the throttle linkage plate.

(2) The work of the electronic throttle mainly relies on the throttle position sensor, which controls the opening angle of the throttle according to the energy required by the engine, thereby adjusting the amount of intake air.

There is no specific service life of the joint. Generally, it is recommended to replace it about 20,000 to 40,000 kilometers. When the throttle is used for a long time, it is easy to integrate the air wall flap into the carbon door inner door at a time, which is the accumulation. The opening angle of the board is small, and the carbon deposit absorption affects the input volume, making leisure speed skating. Gasoline is mixed into a combustible mixture, so it can do work. The air filter is connected to the top and the cylinder block is connected to the bottom, which is called the throat of the car engine.
